Nomad notes by Vero Goes Solo

Stories, tips & tools from your solo female travel expert - December edition

Where I am now šŸŒ

I’m still in Sydney šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ which, if you know me, is probably a bit unexpected. I’m usually on the move, hopping from one place to another, but this time I consciously chose to slow down and stay put for a while.

Taking this break from traveling ā€œlike crazyā€ while working a full time corporate job is something I really needed. It helped me focus, recharge, and finally channel my energy into projects I care deeply about. I feel more grounded, clearer, and honestly… more balanced.

One thing I truly love about Australia is the feeling that everything is possible. Just a few days after arriving, I found my first Australian client, and shortly after that, I officially launched my new marketing & wellbeing services something I’ve been thinking about for a long time.

If you’re curious, you can check them out on my website:

At the same time, I can start feeling how far Australia is from the rest of "my" world: emotionally and geographically and because of that, I don’t think this will be a long-term base for me. For now, I’m choosing to enjoy the summer, the space, and this chapter… until the next place starts calling my name!
I’ll keep you posted!

šŸ“ Featured destination:
Pipa, Brazil šŸ‡§šŸ‡·

If you’re dreaming of an always-warm, laid-back place where you can work remotely, Pipa might steal your heart. This small coastal town, close to Natal, in the North of Brazil, is a paradise for digital nomads and slow travelers: beautiful beaches, a strong sense of community, great cafĆ©s to work from, and a lifestyle that naturally invites balance.

This month’s travel toolkit šŸŽ’

šŸ“± App I’m actually using: Timeleft
A really cool app that connects strangers for curated dinners and meetups. Perfect if you want to meet new people in a meaningful, low-pressure way especially when you’re staying longer in one place. I’ve used Timeleft in Sydney for the first time, and I met amazing people that became friends.

🌐 Site worth bookmarking: Laptop Friendly
An amazing platform that helps you discover cafƩs and other remote-work-friendly venues with reliable Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a comfortable environment, ideal for digital nomads looking for productive spots around the world.

🧳 Travel hack I swear by:
If you’re slowing down somewhere, build a simple weekly routine (same cafĆ©, same walk, same workout time). It creates stability without killing the freedom and helps you feel at home faster.

āœļø Writing prompt for fellow travelers:
When was the last time you chose rest instead of movement? How did it change the way you felt or showed up in your life?

Travel tip of the month:
You don’t have to figure everything out on your own.

Solo travel doesn’t mean doing everything solo. Over the years, I’ve learned how powerful it is to have someone who supports you, challenges you, and helps you navigate fears, doubts, and big decisions on the road.

That’s exactly why I created my Solo Female Travel Mentorship a safe space for women who want to travel solo with more confidence, clarity, and intention.

If you’re dreaming of taking the leap but feel stuck or overwhelmed, having guidance can truly change everything, feel free to reach out via Linkedin if you want to book a free discovery call!
