Stories, tips & tools from your solo female travel expert - February edition
Where I am now 🌍
I’m writing to you from Tasmania 🇦🇺, one of those places I had always dreamed of visiting and I simply couldn’t miss while being based in Australia.
I spent a few incredible days surrounded by landscapes that felt unreal: wild coastlines, endless greenery, beautiful hiking spots… but what struck me the most was the air, the purity of it. I felt the difference immediately when I landed, coming from Sydney, it was one of those subtle but powerful reminders that in the long run, I’ll need to reconsider living in cities.
My absolute highlight was Bruny Island definitely the place that impressed me the most in Australia so far, so if you’re planning a trip to Tasmania, I 100% recommend doing a full-day tour there. I booked mine through Get Your Guide and it was completely worth it.

This month’s travel toolkit 🎒
📱 App I’m actually using: eDreams Prime
If you fly frequently (especially long-haul or multiple short flights in Europe), the membership can really pay off. I’ve been using it for a couple of years now, and between discounted fares and flexibility perks, it has definitely been worth it for me.
🌐 Site worth bookmarking: TRAppe
If you’re into conscious travel and meaningful experiences, this is one is for you: TRAppe helps modern travelers discover curated, lifestyle-forward stays and experiences that are kind to the planet and respectful of local communities, without sacrificing style or fun. Definitely worth signing up for their newsletter if you enjoy thoughtful travel inspiration.
🧳 Travel hack I swear by:
When visiting nature-heavy destinations, download offline maps and save key locations in advance. In remote areas like Tasmania, signal can disappear quickly and having everything saved avoids stress.
✍️ Writing prompt for fellow travelers:
When was the last time you fully experienced a place without trying to capture it? How did it feel?
Travel tip of the month Experience first. Photograph second. Speaking of that… I tried getting back on Instagram recently. After a couple of weeks, I realized that posting (or even just opening the app) isn’t part of my life rhythm anymore. It was still interesting to experiment and understand how I feel about it, but I think I might let it go again soon. So if you’re curious about where I am and what I’m doing… you’ll just have to read these newsletters 😌 | ![]() On my way back from Mount Wellington, Hobart, Tasmania |
